Minhaj Welfare Foundation – Qurbani Program
Minhaj Welfare Foundation started the Qurbani program in 1989. The project has been increased in size over the years and almost 25 years later, 100,000s Qurbani have been performed with millions of people worldwide benefitting from this project.
The Qurbani Project provides an opportunity for those people who cannot afford to purchase meat products to receive the nutritional benefit of a Minhaj Welfare Foundation Qurbani Meat Packet. The project involves the distribution of fresh meat to the most vulnerable people; women, children, elderly and refugees. Each Qurbani bag distributed contains a sufficient amount of meat (5kgs on average), for a family of six for at least 3 to 4 days. Each meat bag is designed to consist of fresh meat that is appropriate and acceptable for the dietary culture of the region
