MWF delegation visits Joseph Colony
A delegation of Minhaj Welfare Foundation led by deputy director operations MWF Raja Jamil Ajmal visited Joseph Colony in Lahore and held a meeting with Christian leaders Bishop Akram Gill, Pervez Surriya and J Salik. They condemned the regrettable arson attack on the Christian neighbourhood in the strongest possible words.
After visiting the torched houses, Raja Jamil Ajmal talked to media. He said that the non-Muslim communities including Christians in particular were contributing to national development in a big way. He said that the role of Christians in independence struggle was of paramount importance. He prayed Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s message to the members of Christian community.
MWF delegation held a meeting with Bishop Subtain Shah, Bishop of Lahore, Akram Masih Gill, Minister for Integration and Minority Affairs, and Pastor Shahid Miraaj and shared the grief of MQI workers and Muslims with the Christian leaders.
A medical camp was set up in the Christian neighbourhood to cater to medical needs of the people of the area.
